The Friends organization has just one staff person, so we rely heavily (and very gratefully) on our wonderful volunteers. It is thanks to the hard work of our volunteers that we were able to raise $100,000 for Charleston County Public Library in 2011.
Some of our Volunteer opportunities:
- Help with Book Sale planning – logistics, set up, volunteer recruitment & management.
- Have expertise in marketing & publicity or event planning? We could use your help!
- Administrative help: processing memberships & other office work.
- Book sorters to help classify and shelve books. This is critical to our operation!
- Instructors to teach programs like resume-writing, computer skills, etc.
