Big news, friends: Our brand-new Friends of the Library bookstore is set for a soft opening on April 7!

We couldn’t be more thrilled to offer this haven for book-lovers of all ages and interests. Here’s what you should know:

 

A FRIENDS of the Library bookstore? Yes! Our new storefront will offer 1000+ books for sale, and with new items added daily there’ll always be something new to discover.

 

Where is it? Inside the Citadel Mall, storefront no. 716 near MUSC Health.

 

How will it operate? With the same friendly service you’ve come to love at our book sales. The store will be volunteer-run, and as with everything we do, the proceeds go to support programs at the Charleston County Library and local literacy initiatives.

 

What are the hours? Starting April 7, we’ll operate on a soft opening schedule:

Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

 

These initial limited hours will allow us to fine-tune our operations and ensure a fantastic experience for all our visitors. Full FRIENDS sorting room operations will open at the Citadel Mall mid-June.
